U4N Guide: How to Complete the Ancient Vows Side Quest in Path of Exile 2 - ParkerBlair - 07-15-2026
Embarking on your journey through Act 2 of Path of Exile 2 brings a variety of challenging encounters and rich side quests that can significantly boost your character's potential. One such crucial mission is the Ancient Vows side quest, which tasks players with tracking down the elusive Kabala Clan Relic to unlock powerful, permanent upgrades. To successfully navigate this quest and prepare your character for the battles ahead, having access to reliable resources is key. While completing these objectives requires strategic planning, you can make your gameplay experience much smoother by keeping your character well-equipped with the right POE2 Currency from U4N, the ultimate marketplace for all your in-game trading needs.
Finding the Kabala Clan Relic in Keth
To begin this quest, you will need to head into the arid wilderness. The Kabala Clan Relic is located within the desert region of Keth, though some players have also reported finding it in the neighboring Lost City zone. Because this item drops randomly as a world drop from any defeated monster in the area, there is no single boss you need to target. However, the best farming strategy is to focus on slaying the serpentine and naga-like enemies that crawl through the sands, as they have a significantly higher probability of dropping the relic. Make sure to thoroughly clear out the entire zone to guarantee that you do not leave the item behind.
Acquiring the Sun Clan Relic from the Bone Pits
Locating the Kabala Clan Relic is only the first phase of solving the "Ancient Vows" quest. To unlock the final mechanism, you must pair it with its counterpart, the Sun Clan Relic. To find this companion item, you will need to travel to a different zone in Act 2 known as The Bone Pits. Spend time defeating the waves of enemies inhabiting this dark and dangerous area. Just like the first relic, this one is a random drop from the local monsters. Keep clearing out the creature packs until the relic finally drops into your inventory, paving the way for the next step of the quest.
Activating the Altar at the Valley of Titans
With both the Sun Clan and Kabala Clan relics safely in your possession, your next destination is the Valley of Titans. Teleport to this zone using the local waypoint. Right next to the waypoint, you will find a large flight of temple stairs leading upward. Climb these stairs to find a massive stone figure that houses a special Medallion Altar. Interact with the altar and place both of the relics into the empty slots to activate the device and complete the "Ancient Vows" quest.
Choosing Your Permanent Character Upgrades
Once the relics are placed, you will be rewarded with a permanent, character-wide buff choice that will benefit you throughout the entire game. Depending on your class build, you can choose between two excellent options. The first option gives you a thirty percent increase to Charm Charges gained, which is highly useful for active utility playstyles. The second option provides a fifteen percent increase to Mana Recovery from your flasks, though this can sometimes shift to life recovery depending on your specific character class and patch version. This permanent enhancement is a game-changer for tackling late-game map progression.
